SALT LAKE CITY, UT — The Utah School Library Association (USLA) is proud to announce its 2026 Fall Conference, a premier gathering for librarians, educators, and information professionals across the state. The event will take place on Friday, November 5, 2026, at the Life Skills Academy in Sandy, Utah, with a special pre-conference Author Gala on the evening of Thursday, November 4.
As school libraries continue to evolve into dynamic hubs of innovation, this year’s conference focuses on "Powered by Curiosity" — highlighting new strategies for literacy, emerging technologies, and community engagement. The conference serves as a critical platform for Utah’s library community to share best practices, explore new resources, and advocate for the essential role school libraries play in student success.
Event Highlights:
- Keynote & Breakout Sessions: Featuring industry leaders and local experts, sessions will cover a wide array of topics including AI in education, collection development, and student mental health support.
- Author Gala: A Thursday evening add-on event featuring a dinner program with celebrated guest authors, providing a unique networking opportunity for attendees.
“The USLA Fall Conference is more than just a professional development event; it is a celebration of the impact librarians have on Utah’s students every day,” said the USLA Board of Directors. “We are excited to bring our community together to share ideas that will shape the future of our schools.”
