We \nuse examples of misinformation to engage students in news literacy and civic \nlearning, and we introduce digital verification skills and tools for debunking \nmanipulated and false images. Topics \ninclude using reverse image searches to determine authenticity; researching \ndomain registration to discover a website\u2019s owner; using archivers to explore \ndeleted or changed content; developing keen observation skills to detect false \ncontext; and using Google Street View to confirm locations.
